IW School Sports Federation

The Isle of Wight School Sports Federation

The Federation supports School Sport on the Isle of wight and is made up of PE teachers both past and present, as well as representatives from individual School Sports Associations.

The aims and Objectives of the IOW Sports Federation are:

To promote inter schools sports competition through organised tournaments, competitions and festivals.
To enable talented sportsmen and sportswomen, as individuals or teams in schools, to pursue excellence by competing on the mainland.
To assist with funding for the aforesaid talented individuals so that they can take their sport to a higher level.
To assist staff to develop their knowledge of coaching and umpiring in their chosen sport.
To provide a link with other Governing Bodies of Sports and PE Staff in other schools.
